New year in Japan

In the rising sun`s country , the New Year is of considerable importance. There are many customs and rituals related to the holiday.The Japanese, fearing that the evil spirits  will come the house with happiness and health, hang on the door straw poles. The holiday is being prepared a few weeks ago.


In mid-December, the Japanese began to send greetings cards to their relatives and friends wishing them success, happiness and health.Once you send a postcard to someone, it is accepted to send it every year. This tradition is very important, as children from school age learn to write the right postcards.

On the New Year’s night, the Japanese are going to the mountains or  to the sea, where the sun rays at the  morning with the applause of the old year and greet the New Year.
